Odyssey Logistics, a multimodal services and supply chain solutions leader, has made Whitehall Corporate Center the new home for its world headquarters, praising the Charlotte region’s wealth of top-notch talent and stating that it “is fast becoming a significant global logistics hub.” Company leaders say they particularly chose Whitehall for its modern setting and high-quality workspaces, hailing it as a world-class facility that positions Odyssey to continue innovating and driving value for its customers. Whitehall’s quick access to Charlotte Douglas International Airport and proximity to four major interstates and more than 800 miles of rail helped seal the deal.
“Charlotte is playing an increasing role in global trade and transportation,” said Odyssey Chief Executive Officer Hans Stig Moller. “The strategic move positions the company at the heart of a major supply chain gateway in a region with a robust and skilled talent pool.”
Odyssey Logistics topped off its big move from Danbury, Connecticut, its previous global headquarters, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Whitehall Corporate Center earlier this month after moving into its fifth-floor space in February. The center features six Class A suburban office buildings and is part of a larger Whitehall master-planned community that includes, among other highlights, several residential communities. Prior to moving its headquarters to Charlotte, Odyssey already had a presence on Ayrsley Town Boulevard in the city, housing its managed services division’s main office there.
Cooper Burton, Executive Vice President of Commercial Leasing for American Asset Corporation, the owner of Whitehall Corporate Center, said that Odyssey’s HQ move to Whitehall “shows that well-located Class A suburban office space is still relevant.” He added, “While the office market is still recovering from the effects of the pandemic five years ago, tenants are beginning to solidify their space needs and committing to longer-term leases.”
Eighty Odyssey employees, including the executive team, IT, human resources, procurement, sales support, commercial and marketing teams will work from the new HQ, occupying 23,390 square feet of new, improved workspace and open collaboration areas. Company leaders say that in a fast-moving and highly multidisciplinary industry like logistics, frictionless coordination across the breadth of their team members is a key to remaining a supply chain leader. “Our new headquarters,” said Moller, “equips Odyssey with a world-class facility where our team members and customers can work together and drive logistics forward.”
